PERSEO Biotechnology S.L. has recently concluded a productive two-day general meeting in Thessaloniki on the 30th of September and 1st of October, held at the facilities of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH).
The FUELGAE Project aims to develop an innovative model to produce advanced liquid biofuels, such as bioethanol, from various CO2 emission sources, targeting two industrial sectors: biorefinery and energy-intensive industries. This will be achieved through the integration of a microalgae pilot plant into existing infrastructures.
PERSEO Biotechnology S.L. will play a crucial role in this project by installing a photobioreactor that will utilize CO2 generated from the advanced bioethanol fermentation process to facilitate the growth of microalgae. Our team will be responsible for developing the process to produce third-generation bioethanol from microalgal biomass rich in polysaccharides.
