Industrial Projects

1. Revamping of the Biomass Plant project to obtain bioethanol from organic waste.

The scope of the project has focused on carrying out an analysis of the technical viability of adapting the current biomass treatment plant to the needs of PERSEO Bioethanol® technology, as well as the actions associated with the implementation and licensing of the technology based on a Basic Engineering project at these facilities.

2. Engineering project to install a 50,000 t/year PERSEO Bioetanol® industrial plant for the treatment of urban and cellulosic waste in Spain

Development of an engineering project focused on the construction of a plant to obtain second-generation bioethanol (2G) from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) and lignocellulosic materials (paper and cardboard) for use in fuel mixtures, thus generating a significant reduction in CO2 emissions as compared to traditional fossil fuels.

3. Feasibility studies for the treatment of waste from food processing companies, and agricultural and waste management cooperatives based on the biorefinery concept to produce advanced bioethanol and other bioproducts.

Carrying out a techno-economic feasibility study for the recovery of different agricultural waste products using the patented PERSEO Bioethanol® process, considering the effect of different variables such as seasonality, quantity, availability and the characteristics of each of the waste products from the cooperative. Evaluation of their viability and their conversion into different bioproducts with high added value, seeking the most efficient configuration for their valorisation, laying the foundations for an efficient and sustainable industrial plant.

4. Project for the optimisation of agro-industrial waste recovery processes.

Development of an optimisation process from the laboratory phase to scaling up in the plant, and a techno-economic feasibility study for the valorisation of agro-industrial waste production waste into high added value products. Development of process engineering for a project on the peninsula.

5. Consortium industrial projects:

PERSEO is leading the development of consortium projects under the SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) model. We work in partnership with investors, waste biomass generators and specialised partners to design, build and operate integrated bioproducts factories to produce advanced bioethanol and other bioproducts.

In direct collaboration with raw material producers, we are currently promoting the construction of two industrial plants for agro-industrial and food sector waste based on this model
