Last 23rd June PERSEO Biotechnology S.L. was present at the Final Event of the WaysTUP! H2020, which took place within the 10th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management, in Chania (Greece).

WaysTUP! H2020 is an EC funded demonstration project focused on the transformation of urban bio-waste into valuable products through 7 PILOTS.

The process developed in PERSEO PILOT valorises cellulosic waste such as wastewater treatment plant wipes, sanitary textiles or contaminated paper and cardboard to be transformed into bioethanol, which is used as a chemical intermediate for the production of the bio-solvent ethyl lactate.
